SEDEK is a collective of musicians, sound artists and performers, which came into being as an independent creative force in early 2020, has ran an experimental performance space in Jerusalem until June 2023, and has since been operating nomadically.

Past projects:

 

- Hanging Garden, a public space performance at Safra square, Jerusalem, which took place on May 6th 2021.

 

- A call for works (which started in early July 2021) for the quadrophonic listening event A Time To Keep Silence, which took place on September 1st.

 

- Window Of Opportunity - a multi-disciplinary performance event which took place on October 2nd 2021  and included five site-specific works for Alliance House and the Machne Yehuda Market parking lot, which surrounds the house.

- The group took part in Spectrum at Safra, an artistic takeover event at the Jerusalem municipality buildings, which took place on December 16th 2021.

​

- The group participated in the series Bad Music, curated by Dan Weinstein, in which it held a concert, on 12.2.22 at Hachanut Theatre Tel Aviv, featuring premiers to pieces created by members of hte group especially for the event.

​

- On 7.4.22 the group took part in the closing event of the group exhibition

Air Itself Touches, at Hamiffal, Jerusalem.

- The group met students from the new music department of the Musrara School of Art, and accompanied their creative process towards the performance of their pieces alongside pieces by members of the group,

at Musrara Mix - High Tones #2 festival, on 26.6.22.

The group has hosted many concerts and events, including the recurring lines Nisuy Kelim, which invited three artists per event, to perform and experiment with new materials and/or collaborations; Ra'am, which was centered around vocal practice and the various possibilities it embodies; and Longitudes, which focused on score-based experimental music; and the Niggun - an ongoing and traveling series of free improvisation open gatherings.
